18 days to go till due date

Yep I look like a huge watermelon and look very tired.. but not long to go now, hope its sooner rather than later though.. as its hard work..

Four seasons

Walking to the train to get to work in the morning was like a trek across the sibera with snow and ice all over the place.....

By lunch time it was like a stroll acorss the cape taking in some sun. The bridge was even opening to let a boat go through as I walked past. Of course it was pouring with rain by the time I got home.

A last trip abroad before we're grounded for good!

A stag do in Barcelona was just the ticket. Nice and sunny, although it's hard to get a tan inside the bars.

St Mary's Lighthouse

My mum and dad came up to visit, so we went for a walk round St Mary's Lighthouse, the weather wasnt very nice but we had a lovely day anyway :)

There is some wild and wonderful food kicking about in asia.

This was on one of our real money saving days and we bought this delight from a little stall.

It's kind of a seafood omlette filled with spicy rice. Not tried anything like it before or since and I'm still trying to decide wether that's a good thing or not!

palawan beach

The pictures are fairly random now so I'm just getting rid of a few that we've not used yet.

This is Palawan where a suspension bridge links you to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia.

Looks nice and sunny but about five minutes after this was taken a storm hit complete with torrential rain, thunder and fork lightening.

Little India in Singapore. Very hot, very busy and easy to get lost with a pounding hangover- which we did.

This bloke has to dive in and feed all the fish - including the sharks.

hard rain

We got at least a day of rain most places we visited but nowhere rains quite as hard as SE Asia.

When a butterfly flaps it's wings....

in the forest, a tree falls on the other side of the world. Or something like that.

There must have been lots of trees falling when we were in Sentoza cause there were these massive butterflys everywhere.

They were coming down for the fruit on the trees, which seemed to be rotting as fast as it was growing thanks to the humidity.

We also spotted this whopper in a pond. Don't know what fish it was, but it was a hell of a size.

Blaydon races

The painting of the Blaydon races which is displayed in a really small gallery near my work.

It's really hidden away but well worth a visit during my lunch hour.

It was good to see a picture of the events that spawned the famous song and anthem of NUFC

Extreme cleaners

These 2 were cleaning the merlion tower on sentoza island.

I wouldn't fancy that job, especially with the cloud burst/thunder and lightening that happened just after I took the picture.

Snow

This was our garden a couple of days ago... so beautiful.. I do love the snow, but only when it hasnt been driven or walked on, it becomes too slippery out there.. thats all I need when im getting so big..

Ross woke up for 6am to get to a meeting at 8am that morning and was not happy when he saw the snow, having to scrap the car at that time of the morning wasnt very nice.. especially when I got to stay in bed ahhh lovely..Ross got there to find that the person who had set that early morning meeting hadnt arrived and was late.. and when he did turn up, the meeting lasted 15 minutes, great planning hey!!

Busy first week at the new job which included a media event for Tony Blair.

Considering the flack he took this week he seemed in pretty good spirits.
