The Spar - tans

Long time readers will know that there is only one true mult-national retailer found everywhere from Asia to Africa and Tyneside to New Zealand. It seems that no International destination is complete without a Spar and true to form we saw one on the Cote D'Azur as well. So no matter where you are in the world you can always find 8 Ace and a soggy pasty.

a la carte

She might be a notoriously fussy eater at home but AC is far less snooty about French food. She was wolfing down cheese, bagets, crepes and all kinds of continental stuff. Had to keep her off the wine though.

Future's so bright..

The south of France was pretty sweet. Sunny and nice food - even Amber had on her own shades! A Holiday with a baby is a contradiction in terms. Need another week off just to recover.

At the beach

Amber seemed to enjoy her first time overseas in Nice - which was nice!

Harps'

Filming for Match of the Day with Newcastle keeper Steve Harper. Despite what you hear about pro footballers he was great with the kids and an absolute gentleman. Nice Merc as well.

Angel's 10th birthday

I've spent every waking moment working on the press for the Angel of the North's 10th Birthday.
We lit it up for TV on the night. Many a cold hour has been spent at the foot of the sculpture, probably the most windy place in the world!
The other shot is from the roof of the new Gateshead college when we were doing a recky for plaing a new webcam.
Reknew your wedding vows, dedicate a balloon for a loved one who has passed or come to the street party: www.itsmyangel.com

outdoor office

Filming for TV in Saltwell park the other day.
Cold and a very early start but definatly beats the office.

third coming

The football ended up a bit of a damp squib but the atmosphere more than made up for it.
Walking to the match and seeing all the smiling faces made for a nice change.
The biggest cheer of the season was saved for King Kev's entrance and the army of photographers.
I think they expected us to score first judging by the number of them camped behind our goal.
They even wheeled out a trophy at half time - not ours I hasten to add, I think that will be a long time coming. Some rally champion paraded a huge cup round the pitch but how long till we get one for the football?
Still, the Keegan effect has definatly put the fun into it again....roll on boro.

Long live the King

In the end this was actually the highlight of the match! Still, it made a change to be excited about going.

I managed to lose my special party hat, but I was there!
